One of the many places that attracts old residents back to little old Logansport. B&K is one of the greats! Serving the Logansport area since 1948.

The current owners Mark and Mindy have given much of their lives to this business just like his father did before him. Sadly as most people in Logansport are aware it is coming to an end. We are still unclear of what the end will be but we know it is coming.
To many of the Logansport residents it is just a place to get yummy hotdogs and delicious root beer. To me, well it's an end to my childhood. You see, I lived right next door to the west in that tall two story house until I was thirteen years old.
I used to work so hard growing up to earn money during the summer to buy me some hotdogs. I know my childhood friends would agree with me that we spent so many nights on that blacktop either rollerblading, playing tag, red light green light in the yard or just goofing off after hours.

A few of my siblings re-visited B&K together yesterday afternoon something we hadn't done in a very long time. I would go with my family but never someone I had once shared long memories with. I tried to squeeze my body through the bars I had always squeezed through as a child and miserably failed. So then my brother and sister tried as well and failed as well. Our kids accomplished the task and we all just laughed and reminisced about our memories.

I just want to thank the Selvio's for giving their lives to this business, to Logansport, to Cass County. Thank you for all the yummy hotdogs and especially the memories. You deserve to go on and enjoy the rest of your lives so once again, thank you. I will miss you and Logansport will miss you.

Thank you Andrea! What a great tribute to Mark and Mindy Selvio! I wish them the best as they hopefully are able start this new, well deserved adventure.

Remember when Amber got a Barbie car? I was a little sad because I was too big to ride in it, but I was so excited to see her drive around the B&K parking lot. I remember getting rollerblades and zipping in and out of the parking areas when they were closed. And when I got my new bike, I couldn't wait to ride it around the parking lot. I loved when they were open during the winter and they had a giant pile of snow. That was awesome to play on.
I'm so glad that we made our own money when we were so young so that we could buy all the spanish hot dogs we wanted.
Thank you for writing such a nice article Andrea.

My grandparents owned this B&K before they sold it to Selvios! My parents too used to live in the two story home! Sad to see this happening.
